Leah Kaiser, Senior Consultant
Leah Kaiser is a consultant in the nonprofit sector, focusing primarily on the arts and culture field. She has a broad understanding of Chicago’s cultural institutions, having reviewed grant requests for the MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture at Prince Charitable Trusts since the program’s inception in 2003. Kaiser has 17 years of experience working with nonprofit groups in the arts, social service, and education fields to research and strategize fundraising opportunities, write grant proposals and capital campaign case statements, and develop annual fundraising plans. From 1992 to 1997, she served on the development staff at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago where she eventually rose to Associate Director of Development. As part of a four-member team, she conducted a campaign for a permanent facility, repertoire expansion, and an endowment. Kaiser is President-Elect of the board of Danceworks Chicago, an organization which supports early-career dancers through artistic and professional development opportunities. She also serves on the board of a private foundation that strives to reduce intergenerational poverty by investing in early childhood education and related family support initiatives. She received her A.B. in English from Harvard University.
